Soundcore Liberty 5

The Soundcore Liberty 5 earbuds walk a familiar, yet increasingly crowded, path. For $130, you're getting some genuinely impressive Active Noise Cancellation, a feature that punches well above its weight class here. If your primary concern is silencing the drone of commutes or the chatter of an open office, these will deliver. Audio quality is generally clear, and the fit is comfortable enough for extended listening sessions, bolstered by excellent battery life that means you won't be reaching for the charger every other day. The inclusion of Bluetooth 5.4 and multipoint connectivity adds a welcome layer of modern convenience.

However, let's be clear: these aren't for the discerning audiophile. While the bass is present and the mids are well-defined, the treble can feel a bit muted, lacking that sparkle and detail that truly brings music to life. If you're someone who lives for the crisp highs and nuanced upper registers, you might find the Liberty 5 a bit wanting. They're a solid choice for everyday use, especially if ANC is your priority, but don't expect them to revolutionize your listening experience. They're competent, comfortable, and quiet the world effectively – a good value, but not a revelation.
